CONTACT AND LINKS

The first and most important link is the link that leads back to you. Posts that do not provide contact information are not accountable and do not support the premise of mutual accountability. Pseudonyms also discourage mutual accountability. In general anonymous posts and comments will not be supported.

Within the exercise of civility, there are no limits to who can start a conversation. Please write to the administrator if you would like to "be on the list". When you do this the administrator can invite you. The current administrator is Stephen Marshall.

Unfortunately, there are limits to the number of comments that can be made to a single posting, so use them substantively, and if you really need to say something, start a new topic with a new post!

Other Occupy Burlington VT web links include our wiki, at the OccupyBurlington.org main page. Many more links, including facebook links, news blogs, and the old wiki can be found here. In time these links will get onto this page.

If there is other information you need, please be sure to write. I'll do the best I can to get help for you.

HELP FOR AUTHORS

The first and most important link is the link that leads back to you. Posts that do not provide contact information are not accountable and do not support the premise of mutual accountability. Pseudonyms also discourage mutual accountability. In general anonymous posts and comments will not be supported.

Posting should be simple. Let me know how it goes. In general, find the page you want to post on (look for the tab series across the page below the header image; each is a page), then scan the upper right corner of the screen. You should see "New Post". Select this and you should get a text box in which you can do your writing.

As an option, you can cut and paste. If I use MS Word, I take the precaution of purging code by using a text -only  editor like notepad.

Be aware that at the top of the editing box are two tabs. In "compose" mode a rich text bar can be seen across the top. If you use formatting and switch to "edit HTML", you will see coded instruction in the "< >" brackets. This is the screen where you can paste your email address, as described below.

HELP WITH EDITING AND FORMATTING
Administrator

Putting an email link into your post is easy. Using standard HTML, the usual URL prefix "HTTP//:" is replaced by "MAILTO:". as shown here:

<a href="mailto:occupyyouropinion@gmail.com"> administrator</a>

After you cut and paste this code directly into your post, replace the text in magenta with your email address, And be sure you put your name, some useful phrase, a title, or the actual address, where you see the text in blue.

Other HTML can be used. Experiment. If you learn something, please tell others here.
